Agal Dance Company is a cutting-edge dance group, exploring the form of Bharathanatyam through contemporary and modern world techniques. Agal Dance Company was founded by Shobana, Suresh, and a group of other like-minded dancers in Sydney. Chidambaram R. Suresh is the chief choreographer for the company, which is headed by its Artistic Director, Vishnu Arunasalam (a senior disciple of SID).

Agal was established in 2018 and has developed many acclaimed dance projects in the span of three years.

Their choreographies and creative pieces reflect innovative ideas relevant to modern society while preserving the traditional framework of Bharathanatyam.
